    Hello
I am thinking of using s2Member with Custom Capabilities to give customers access to a set number of my pages if they pay a certain sum.

What I want to know is how I would go about giving this access to selected people without them paying for it? Say I have a Custom Capability called “course2”, how would I give access to this set of pages to “member45” without him needing to pay?

    Thank you

  • I suggest you look at the Capability Manager Enhanced plugin and/or the Members plugin to see if, together with s2member, they can give you the fine-grained control that you are looking for.

Thanks, I will look at that.

But I don’t think my needs are that complicated. I know I can do most of this with s2member, just unsure how to give my own account(and others) access to premium content without paying.

Do you need this to be automated? If you only have a few, I know you can do it manually. In the user board, at the bottom, in s2Member Configuration & Profile Fields, simply add the ccaps in the Custom Capabilities field and save. That’s all.

You can also change ccaps as needed. As an example, today, I had a customer who had used 2 accounts and had ccaps on both. She asked me to put them into ONE account and delete the other. That was done by hand; copy and paste! That simple.

    Ok, thanks.
That was all I was asking for =)
