• I have started with the “commerce” license in January and it was a hard trip from the get-go. I later upgraded to ENTERPRISE.
I don’t want to repeat what you can read in the other reviews, I would write something like in the one 2-star rating to be found here, almost verbatim.

That said, the reasons it is 3-star is that I have to consider my own lack of experience with WP and insufficient experience with crowdfunding concepts on the payment gateway side as well. I had expected the crew from ID would be more forthcoming with help in areas not entirely their turf (but closely related), that didnt pan out.

However, if someone is a wp pro and knows php and css well and takes the time to familiarize himself with paypal adaptive and the other payment options – THEN the ENTERPRISE license can lead to a useable product (forget the other licenses).

If anyone wants that ENTERPRISE license for half price leave a comment**.
I have decided to let a professional programmer do my CF site from scratch.

  • alchemist15, It sounds like you’re frustrated. Payment gateways can be very frustrating to set up, and a crowdfunding site has a lot of particulars to configure, which can seem daunting to someone new to this type of work. We hear you, and we’re working all the time to make each of these aspects easier for a beginner to work through.

If you can try us again in the support forums and let us know that you’re at your wit’s end, I bet we can find a way to help you (or the person you hire), that’s way easier and less expensive for you than having someone build you something from scratch.

virtuousgiant: Thanx but no thanx. Enough is enough ??

And in my review I made a mistake, it should read:

    >>If anyone wants that ENTERPRISE license for half price leave a comment.<<

I had started with commerce but later upgraded to ENTERPRISE and that license alone IMHO is the only useful one as the commerce does not support adaptive payment options with paypal and other gateways.

    Hey alchemist15,

Had you expressed when you upgraded, or inquired prior to upgrading, that that was why you thought you had to upgrade? PayPal Adaptive is built directly into IgnitionDeck Commerce, which comes with the IgnitionDeck + Membership license.

What is obtained with Enterprise license is the Front-End Submission (members creating projects) and Transaction fees (site owner takes a % from every transaction). If you were looking to create a site that had either of those things, that’s what you’d be upgrading for.

Either way, it still sounds like we can help you out if you let us. I’m not sure who you are on the forums, but if we’ve been unable to help you there, I would like a chance to remedy that. Our support team often goes out of their way to ensure our customers are helped. Sometimes a customer issue might go beyond the realm of regular IgnitionDeck support, which often means we try to point you in the right direction, or a response takes a little longer.

I hear you about getting more guidance in areas that go beyond IgnitionDeck – and we’re working on being able to offer that. We’ve first had to work on support the product itself, before we can branch out to supporting other products, general web development knowledge, and WordPress itself.

Well, obviously your staff informed me that the version of PP adaptive I wanted to use wasnt going to work with the commerce license – its kinda funny reading your denial about this. If you are correct HERE then this was not the only false information I got from ID staff. Some of you dont know their own product too well I have to say.

All in all its funny that you are falling head over heels HERE to look helpfull when in the forums where help would have been much appreciated 5 days reply time was seen more than once.

You should read the one and two star reviews and fix the complaints therein of which most I have lived thru myself. Until then I’d stick to thanx but no thanx.
