Glitch in social media settings snippet

    The social media settings snippet has always been problematic, sometimes displaying on Facebook or Twitter and sometimes not.

    What I’m seeing now is far worse. When I posted to social media, the snippet cut off at a word that began with a quote mark. I checked the description window and found ascii marks had replaced the quotes.

    So, I edited the snippet and re-posted to social media. The original, glitchy snippet still displayed. I cleared the browser cache, cleared caching plugin cache, re-edited the snippet multiple times and still, the glitchy snippet displays.

    What’s up with this thing?
