Global Option For Featured Image to be LCP Image to preload

  • Hello, I love this plugin, thank you so much for developing it! I have a suggestion for the per-post options. At the moment you need to paste in the URL of the LCP image you wish to preload but I imagine for a lot of sites, that image is the featured image and it would be nice to have that as a set-and-forget setting. Thank you!

    an interesting idea, but … I’m not convinced just yet ??

    are you sure the assumption the featured image is the LCP one is correct? not saying it isn’t, but I could imagine this depends on a lot of things including theme, other images used (e.g. for logo and others) and mobile vs desktop use?

    do you have one (or more) sites where systematically featured image is identified as LCP for both desktop & mobile?

    I have a series of podcast sites. The one and only image on a post is the episode art so that’s easy in my case. I think many blogs have the featured image as the hero/main image on top. A toggle would be a nice QOL addition, that’s all. Thanks for your hard work, take care.
