Global tags do not match subdomain tags

  • Hi,

    I have a multiuser site and on my subdomain, one of the users originally tagged posts with firstname lastname (Joe Blogs). I went to that blog’s dashboard and edited the post tags (both names and slugs) to be just firstname (joe).

    On that blog, the tags show up correctly. However, i have a global site tags widget which is still displaying Joe Blogs and the slug joe-blogs.

    If i click on one, it takes me to the post that is tagged joe (even though the title says Tags > Joe Blogs).

    I just need to get rid of the lastname part as its a school site.

    then it needs to be fixed in the table that stores the information for that tags widget. since you didn’t say what plugin that was, I can’t be more specific.
