Gmail configuration not working.

I had been using the built-in post by email for quite some time. I switched over to the plug-in version when the core version was disabled. I can no longer get it to work with Gmail. It does work when I use it with a different email address (under the client’s domain).

When the plugin was installed it copied over the settings from the previous version.

The settings I had are:

ssl://pop.gmail.com

port 995

The error I get is An error occurred: Error connecting to POP3 server.

I’ve double checked the password, and it’s correct. I’ve tried it using both SSL and without, same result.

I am on Hostgator, with version 5.2.17 of PHP

Does anyone have it working with POP3/Gmail, and if so, what settings are you using?
