• Yesterday, I changed my DNS records to point to a new host. I am using BitNami/EC2. My old host was WordPress.com. I did not change any mail settings. After the host change, e-mails from my gmail account get through, but e-mails to the account are getting bounced with this message:

The error that the other server returned was: 550 550 #5.1.0 Address rejected. (state 13).

MX records are configured as follows:
    MX 5 ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.
    MX 5 ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.
    MX 1 ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.
    MX 10 ASPMX2.GOOGLEMAIL.COM.
    MX 10 ASPMX3.GOOGLEMAIL.COM.
    TXT google-site-verification={site verification code}

    Also have:
    0 SMTP.SECURESERVER.NET.
    10 MAILSTORE1.SECURESERVER.NET.

In the domain manager of WordPress.com it says:

Your nameservers need to be set to NS1.WORDPRESS.COM and NS2.WORDPRESS.COM for these DNS records to work. If you have already updated the nameservers you can ignore this message; it will stop appearing soon.

    My nameservers are:
    ns01.domaincontrol.com
    ns02.domaincontrol.com

If I change my nameservers, that will break my site, won’t it? How can I get gmail working again?

You’ll need to ask at the correct forum, this is the support forum for WordPress.ORG self-hosted installations. We don’t support DNS here and if your domain is handled by WordPress.COM then you’ll need to contact them.

I’m confused by your answer. My domain had been hosted on WP.com and I moved it to WP.org (BitNami/EC2). Since moving it, the gmail no longer works. As I said, my current nameservers are:

    My nameservers are:
    ns01.domaincontrol.com
    ns02.domaincontrol.com

    I don’t think this is a WordPress.com question.

What you’ve said makes sense but we still do not support that here. We do support www.ads-software.com software and that doesn’t have anything to do with domain hosting, DNS, or GMail.

I’m not being obtuse, you really need to either contact WordPress.COM regarding your domain registration or the company hosting your domain.

    Ok, thanks.
