I have a WP website with a booking calendar for a doghotel. Whenever somone book a stay at the doghotel they should receive a confirmation email. Users with a gmail account does not get confirmation and I get an error email. “A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:”

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Unfortunately, you did not mention the actual error message. It is therefore difficult to assess the cause. However, since it is Gmail, I have a guess: you are probably not sending the emails authenticated. You would need to install a plugin such as WP Mail SMTP (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/) in WordPress and store the SMTP access data for one of your email accounts in it. This will allow WordPress to send emails via your mail server, including authentication, which in turn will ensure delivery to GMail.
