  • I don’t think you can control whether or not the emails go to the spam folder – I had this issue for months on my first website. You could add a message telling them to check spam – I think as Gmail begins to ‘trust’ your domain/email, it will place the emails in Inbox/Promotions Inbox. Maybe you can send some to yourself and mark as not spam?

    Hope this helps.

It means google thinks that you’ve been sending out advertisements or spam emails. Try using a trusted smtp server to get past this.

It doesn’t take time for gmail to trust a domain. What happens is that the trust is lost.

Or better yet just ditch the whole account registration idea because you’re going to get these problems.

    Hi Kimsf!
I have never sent anything. I am just developing my site and doing a couple of test registrations. No spam, no advertisement!!

I found this plugin: Easy WP SMTP.

I installed and configured and it works great. All the new registrations go directly to the inbox of the user who has registered.

Thank you both for the reply.
