When we see “Gmail” prominently featured in a plugin’s title “Easy WP SMTP – WordPress SMTP and Email Logs: Gmail, Office 365, Outlook, Custom SMTP, and more”, we naturally expect Gmail integration to be part of the core functionality.

Instead, after going through the installation process, we discover this frustrating message: “Sorry, but the Google / Gmail mailer isn’t available in the lite version. Please upgrade to PRO to unlock this mailer and much more.”

This feels like a bait-and-switch tactic. If a feature is premium-only, it should not be prominently displayed in the free version’s title.

The plugin might work fine for other SMTP configurations, but the current marketing approach creates false expectations and wastes users’ time.

      Hi, @sherrybcreative.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, and we’re sorry for the frustration.

Your feedback was passed on to our team.

While our Lite plugin doesn’t have a direct Gmail API connection, you can still connect to your Gmail email account using the “Other SMTP” mailer option by following this guide. Here you can find specific SMTP configuration for Gmail.

      Kind regards.
