Gmail with OTHER SMTP

We recommend using the Gmail Mailer, as it uses a built-in API to connect to Google’s services. For it, you will need to create a project in the Google console. We have a complete walkthrough of the process here on our site:

Additionally, telling Google that your connection is you shouldn’t be a problem. However, the API connection is still recommended due to being a more reliable connection method.

I’ve now set up wp mail smtp with gmail but I’m having a problem: when receiving a new order with woocommerce, fopr some reason I’m getting the the usual NEW ORDER admin email but also the email that is sent to the customer with the order details!! How can I fix this? Thank you

Any reply on this? This issue wasn′t happening prior to installing WP Mail SMTP + Gmail mailer. Woocommerce settinggs are ok. I would appreciate your help.

I do apologize for the late response. It looks like your post got missed. Were you able to get this issue resolved?

Essentially, WP Mail SMTP is going to send emails to where the email is addressed. It is addressed at the point where it is created, so in this case, WooCommerce would be creating and addressing those emails. We facilitate the handoff to the mailer service, which in turn delivers the email to where it was addressed.
