    Hello everybody,
I’ve been scouring the forums and WordPress websites for the last few days, searching desperately to find out why WordPress-generated emails were vanishing into the ether (such as comment notifications, contact forms, subscriber notifications). And I finally figured it out, so I thought I’d post the solution here to save time for anybody else who may be stuck with a similar problem.

Symptoms: WordPress install seemed to be unable to mail to the administrator.

The conflict resulted because the server is running Plesk and has its mail hosted at Google. It is a peculiar configuration, but not uncommon. When a new domain is setup in Plesk mail is enabled by default but there are no email addresses. The DNS entry is setup with the host, so the GMail server for the normal mail works fine. The problem comes when WP generates the mail on the server, the server thinks there are no email addresses to send the mail to and does not even bother to check the DNS, and the mail is rejected – lost in space.

The simple solution: Turn off the Mail that was on by default in Plesk.
    Thats it! And everything works.

    I found the solution here:

So glad I finally found this! Been rying everything to work out the source of the problem.

Same thing happened to me, same setup of WP, Plesk and having just moved my domain email to Google Apps, and no mails from WP working at all. Switched off the Mail function for my domain in Plesk and all is now peachy.
