• It did what i wanted – displaying one single Flickr album on a WP blogpost. There is a whole variety of layouts to choose from, even though i personally didn’t find an ideal one and there is no fast preview.

I am not computer-savvy (but still manage to maintain a blog with some plugins, tags etc.). To me (again, not a nerd) i thought the explanations going with this Photonic were rather complicated and more for those who have already some understanding.

When programmer talks about Flickr Photosets, he means what is called Album in Flickr. But working within the plug-in’s settings, the word Album isn’t used, which confused me. Get rid of the word PhotoSet i suggest. Many other things confused me too, but anyway, i reached my goal, and for free, so i’m fine.

I had used another plug-in for this. But it stopped working and isn’t updated.

    Thanks!

    Hi,
Thanks for your review. In all fairness, the term “Album” is lot newer to Flickr than “Photoset”. Photonic was created in early 2011, and at that time Flickr only used the term “Photoset”. I believe Flickr switched the terms some time in 2014. Moreover, providers such as Zenfolio still use the term “Photoset”, and 500px still uses the terms “Set”, “Gallery” and “Collection” interchangeably, instead of “Album”.

Also, if you look at your dashboard, under Photonic → Getting Started, you will see there, for “What Can You Show?”, for Flickr it says “Albums / Photosets and Galleries”, it links to the documentation for the same, and the documentation page does use the term “Album” wherever “Photoset” is used.
