• I first found this solution from the site below awhile back for not receiving email messages, though it’s mostly about using Google email. It also just worked as a solution for me with a GoDaddy hosted email account.

    https://teachyourselfgeek.com/google-apps-business/dont-receive-email-contact-form/

I set the plugin up with a domain-based email after setting up a new site and email account (Workspace Email) with GoDaddy. Couldn’t receive the messages. I could get it to send successfully to my Gmail address, but no luck to the site’s email accounts.

Long story short, I even tried using an SMTP plugin, and configured for both SMTP and PHP email. It to would send to mine each time. When I did a test email in the plugin to the domain’s email, it even reported a SUCCESS message, but nothing reached the domain’s inbox.

The solution is going into the MX Entry area in the hosting cPanel and selecting Remote Mail Exchanger. Ours was set for Local Mail Exchanger.

Now works great. Hopefully this will help someone.

Howdesign – Good job! That fixed it. I went to the cpanel for the hosting, scrolled down to the email area, selected the MX Entry and switched it from Local Mail Exchanger to Remote Local Exchanger. PERFECTION!

    Thank you!

    Yep. Worked! Thank you.

Thank you very much! I had been using Postman SMTP but it stopped working months ago. Just made the MX Entry change and it worked like a charm!
