    Hello,

I am facing problems with almost all the websites (about 5-6 of them) hosted with GoDaddy on their ‘Deluxe Hosting Linux’ (shared) server. It takes about 5-6 seconds to load the websites at its fastest, and about 18-20 seconds when slower. Sometimes they don’t load at all. Using various online tools (including Google’s PageSpeed Tools) I am beginning to gain an understanding that the problem is due to ‘slow server response time’.

One of the websites in question is: https://www.itravellershostel.com. Another one would be https://www.etherstudio.de.

I use a 50 Mbps home broadband. It’s the same situation on my 3G connection.

Can anyone shed some lights on how to go about fixing this issue? Will buying dedicated server IP help?

Any help would be much appreciated!

P.S. I have only limited knowledge regarding hosting, servers, etc. I am NOT an expert.

    Thanks,
    Ashish

GoDaddy is well known as a slow host; search these forums for “godaddy” and read what people think.

Your own connection and ISP speed means nothing in this case. Run speed tests from a third party site, like pingdom or GTMetrix.

Thanks a lot for your response, songdogtech! I’ll do what you suggest. Do you have any knowledge on whether buying their dedicated hosting plan would improve things or I’m just better off looking for another provider? I have a few websites hosted on this account, therefore, not having to migrate to another provider is the option I’m really keen on…

Don’t know, try their other hosting see how it is. I stay away from them except for domain registration.
