GoDaddy vs. Laughing Squid hosting for newbie

  • I am moving my recipe blog from wordpress.com to www.ads-software.com. I am trying to pick a web host– I’m deciding between Go Daddy and Laughing Squid. I also need to buy a domain. I am proficient at wp.com, but have no programming experience and don’t want to be in over my head. So, I am hoping for a seamless set-up. I am wondering why WP doesn’t “recommend” Go Daddy. Any negatives with Go Daddy hosting a wp.org site? Thank you.

  • Although we cannot endorse them, there are some hosts listed here. Also searching the forums using the keywords “host” or “hosting” may provide you with some suggestions. However, due to the amount of spam that these topics attract, I’m afraid I will have to close this one.
