Going live with WordPress

I am in process of needing to learn more about wordpress and expand on my website building adventure.

I like to go live and soon starting using a web hosting service.

Now what do i need to know to hook up my present offline pages to go live on a hosting service?

What section of the Dashboard- menu side do i need to get information from to link everything together?
