You can’t use ‘wordpress’ in your own site

You can use wp, or press, or anything like that, but not wordpress

Actually, you CAN use “WordPress” in the site, just not in the domain name. You can use it in subdomains. . . such as wordpress. bangladeshiwp .com but not in the domain. . . such as www. bangladeshiwordpress .com.

If you have wpbangladeshi. com and then on the front page have a logo that says “Bangladeshi WordPress” then you are fine.

Don’t get downhearted if they don’t let you use it. . . Registering domain names isn’t a huge expense. Just drop them and register new ones that fit with the copyright laws and expectations.

I have just written to them regarding wordpressangels.com and am hoping for a positive response. (wpangels.com is already taken!!)

If you’re planning on making money, or running a business for a profit using the domin names with ‘WordPress’ in them, you will most likly not be approved.

What you should do is find a domian name that is very close to what you want, like wpSOMETHING.com or in craigedmonds case try wp-angels.com and use that as your primary domain name.

Then take the existing domain that you have that states ‘WordPress’ in them, and point them (DNS) to the root of your primary domain. You would then be able to use the domains that contain ‘WordPress’ in them (because they will direct to your site), and not Legaly be breaking any copyright issues because your primary domain would display ‘wpSOMETHING.com’ in the address bar.
