Gone crazy! After upgrade can't edit anything only see blank screen

Now i get this with ALL themes:

Try:
– switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

– resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

– re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and the wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

– running the upgrade manually via wp-admin/upgrade.php

screw it …. i figured it out – goto fantistico and do it there.
BUT STILL you can’t just click upgrade in wordpress!?!?
madness … you gotta do it through hostagator and cpanel and fantstico and then you can only have 3.8 and not 3.9?

i won’t touch wordpress again … there isn’t any integration with hostgator …

Sure you can. In fact, we don’t recommend that people use it if at all possible precisely because of these issues.

Yes. Then I’d suggest installing WordPress manually.

Try checking your site’s error logs for a more specific error message. Error 500 is too generic to be of any use. Your hosts should be able to help you accessing your site’s error logs.

If you know how to use FTP, you can manually upgrade your site to 3.9 following these instructions.

Read all of the instructions before you start.

Just be careful to backup your wp-config.php file before you start so you don’t accidentally delete it. It contains the connection to your database. Not a nice situation if you lose that.

If you need notes about using FTP do this upgrade manually, let me know and I will write some for you.

now everything is gone … deleted … and i can’t install it again … super. Not sure about ftp stuff it’s all in hostagator … i don’t need any ftp stuff it’s all in the browser it think … why can’t i just make a new database … i want to go from nothing … it’s a mess

Thanks seems to be working … just need to sort out why it keep randomly jumping to my redirect ?? even though i don’t have one set up lol … oh my lordddddd
