• In general, WP Scheduled Posts does what it is supposed to do. It is also easy to use and works reliably. A big relief for all who want to publish scheduled posts.

    However, two points disturb enormously:
    1. the updates do not work with the WordPress Plugin Update function. The support has seen the problem, but does not react to it. Therefore you have to download the ZIP file every time and install it manually.
    2. with almost every update there is a message in full width: “We hope you’re enjoying WP Scheduled Posts! Could you please do us a BIG favor and give it a 5-star rating on WordPress to help us spread the word and boost our motivation? The choices are: “Okay, you deserve it! / I already did / Maybe Later / I need help / Never show again”. No matter what you choose (even with “Never show again”), you will never get rid of this advertisement. The support also knows this problem, but does nothing about it. This is not only annoying and bad service, but also violates applicable law (GDPR, privacy shield).

All in all, good, but annoying and not sufficiently customer-oriented.

    @wphr24,

Hi, there. Thank you for your feedback.

However, about the problems you have mentioned, the Update mechanism is actually working as expected so I am not sure why you are facing an issue. Can you please elaborate? You don’t have to download it manually at all if you have the license key activated. Can you please tell us a bit more about the error you get when updating so that I can help you? You can send more details here: support[at]wpdeveloper[dot]net

About notice thing, I can totally understand your frustration and yes, it shouldn’t be showing up especially if you hit the ‘Never Show Again’ option. We are seriously investigating this notice thing and we will get this resolved in our next update if we find this such issue, don’t worry.

Hopefully, after we fix the notice issue, that will convince you to change the rating as I find it a bit harsh. Regardless, thank you for your honest feedback.

Have a nice day. We will be in touch soon.

Hi, there. Thank you for your response.

Yes – maybe the rating is a bit harsh but thats the way to get recognized. The support was our first try. There you have all information with a bunch of examples.

You will find the update issue in your support tickets from December 2019. Please look at this examples (they are in your support system since more than half a year):

    Example 1

    Example 2

    Example 3

Because nothing changed after more than half a year the rating is as it is.

The annoying dialog you can find in your support tickets of February 2020 and the last message I got was:

“Hi there, We are sorry for the inconvenience caused. We have already made this the top priority and will be resolved soon. Thank you!”

Same story: No solution, no further information.

Are you still wondering about the rating?
