Good system, but incredibly annoying, spammy notifications about new add-ons, annoying every user on the blog. Removed it for that reason.

    Hi @pekkagaiser,
    Thank you for this review.
wpDiscuz doesn’t have any addon notification for blog users. There is only onetime notification on plugin update in dashboard. And this one is permanently removed once you click on dismiss button.
Are you sure you use the latest version? Because the information you’ve provided doesn’t specify the place of the new addon notification. wpDiscuz doesn’t have any public notification or ad on website front-end. Please confirm as soon as possible.

    Hey guys,

All admins are seeing this notification in the backend on every single page: https://i.stack.imgur.com/ItzOl.png

I’ve clicked on “dismiss” about twenty times now. It comes back all the time.

It is a Multisite install, if that’s relevant.

Thank you for the update @pekkagaiser,
This is very important because the phrase “annoying every user on the blog” can be understood as a public notification or ad for all website users. Thank you for the details and light on this issue. As I’ve already mentioned this is a dashboard (backend) onetime notification and this will be permanently removed once you clicked on dismiss button.
Also please note, that this one is already removed in next wpDiscuz version, So you’ll not get new addon notification anymore (if you use the latest wpDiscuz version). So you can continue to use and enjoy wpDiscuz comment system without new addon notification in dashboard.
    Thank you!

As said, I’ve clicked “dismiss” 20 times now. It still shows up on every page load.

I will try updating WpDiscuz and adjust the review if things work out.

This maybe a multi site issue. Or there is some JS error in Dashboard, it affects dismiss button AJAX request. This will be removed without JS action if you visit the Addons subMenu of Comments menu. Also it may require to be dismissed on each subsite dashboard. As far as I know, the dismiss function doesn’t affect all subsites. It use WordPress optiosn table and the options table is different for each subsite, it’s not a general.
Whatever… it’ll not be there in next version release.
