On the whole I like Spectra but I do find parts of it frustrating. Images break out of their containers on tablet (and sometimes on desktop) and it’s not as intuitive as it might be. For example Kadence allows you to very quickly and easily choose and change the number of sections in a row. And if you duplicate in Kadence, the results are logical and intuitive. Not so with Spectra.
I teach beginners how to use WordPress and it’s just not intuitive enough for beginners in my opinion. The css grid and flexbox are great if you’re creating your own layout from scratch, but if you are using a pre-made design using ZipWP then the structure of the site is a bit of a mystery. I’d give it a 3.5 stars.
If you’re a beginner looking for a block based editor I’d recommend Kadence instead.

    Hi @dianemk,

Thank you for your feedback and for sharing your experience with Spectra. I understand the frustration you’re facing with images breaking out of their containers on tablets and desktops. To help us better understand the issue, could you please provide more details about the specific image problem you’re encountering? If possible, sharing a screenshot would be very helpful.

Regarding the structure and settings, I’ve created a video that demonstrates how easy it is to adjust these elements within Spectra: Watch the video. Your insights are valuable, and we aim to make Spectra as user-friendly as possible, especially for beginners.

    Looking forward to your response!

    Have a nice day!
