    Great Job!

I was very critical about the lack of clear notes in the change log in my first review. I’m happy to say that crystal clear, point by point updates have been logged fully for more than a month now.

Could not be happier with a security plugin! Definitely a must have for any WordPress site, whether you **think** you need it or not.

The plugin works fine. It does what I expect it to do.

The developers need to remember that the security and stability of a WordPress site relies heavily on information. I turned off the auto updates of the plugin so I can see when it’s updated and what’s included, only to find out the developers do not update the change log with an update unless it’s a major version. This is unacceptable.

The plugin gets 4 stars from me. The developers get 2 stars for being lazy. Is what it is.

Actually we do publish changelogs with information. We just group things.

If you look at the changelog recently, you’ll see that each item has a small version number at the end, e.g. (v.2). Anything that doesn’t have that is on the first release of that series.

We’re lazy? We work tirelessly on this plugin. Non-stop, providing constant support (which is evidenced in the forums), provide frequent updates, and full release logs.

We restructured the changelogs to be a little tidier. If you had a question about release notes, a simple, polite comment in the support forum to provide feedback would have sufficed.

I’m shocked at your comments frankly. Never have we been called lazy and frankly it’s offensive.

Does that look grouped to you? Shows 4.4 changes but not 4.4.1, which is the latest update. Get pissy if you want, but don’t tell me you updated the change log because you obviously didn’t. Your website doesn’t have any better information than the repository.

I write my own plugins for my sites and some clients. I get the work that goes into it. The effort you put into coding and design does NOT translate into useful documentation for your users. I’m not even asking for full documentation for the plugin (most of what’s needed is on each features settings page anyway), but knowing what changed in EVERY version helps us avoid conflicts on our sites. Hence the reason why the repo provides the change log section for YOU to fill out with each update.

Offensive? I really don’t care. Truth hurts, pal. And I was specific about the singular failing aspect. Read more into it if you want, but you’re just gonna look like a fool for it…

    Cheers. Nice plugin.

P.S. – I’m not fluent in whine so I didn’t read your full reply to my review. You’re hurt. I’m a mean ole bully. I get it. Think big picture dude.

Just wanted to let you know that I’ve updated my review since you guys have started putting much more focus on the update logs. Sorry if I was a pain in the ass, but these things need to be clear so we know all we need to when updating plugins on a live site with other plugins and a theme (possible conflicts).

Very happy to use the plugin now, and will be looking for a way to upgrade or donate soon.

    Thanks.
