• Great plugin for fast stats esp if troubleshooting. Convenient all is in easy reach.
Thanks for the plugin! Donated to you too to keep up the good work.

However, why is RAM so over-the-top in the stats? I tested on 2 servers and on both it’s waaaaay inaccurate.
Example: on my server I see – it changes of course, dep on processes happening in real time, but varies usually between Memory Used 28.75% (2,290,652 of 7,966,272) to 17%.
While your plugin says 75% RAM is being used [6GB of available 8!], which gave me a near heart attack from concern.

Hi @tekgirlymama, Thanks for the review and donation. Please note that it is not inaccurate. The problem is that when you are making a WordPress plugin for the public, you have to think as wide as possible. Thousands of people are going to use it on a thousand different Linux distros and configuration.

Now in some Linux distros, it shows the about of RAM being used by the system. But in most system, the only two parameters you can reliably work with are MemTotal and MemFree. Now from these values, you have to do your math to check the ram usage.

The problem with this method is that it not only just count the actual ram usage but also the about used for swap and other operation.

Unfortunately, if I had to make this more accurate, then the plugin will not work 90% of server cause not every server shows the memory usage in /proc/meminfo.

I’m sorry for this, but please note they are not inaccurate. It just those extra spaces have been taken by the OS which it uses for swapping and other things. The system you use to check your accurate ram details doesn’t show these details because it knows if the system needs more ram it will reduce the swap place. But what this plugin does is shows you the accurate free ram available after the system has used it for everything it possibly can.

I hope this helps. Thanks again for the donation.
