Good Functions, easy, bad support – beware
-
InfiniteWP started off good with very good usabilty and development was quick to offer new addons and some bugfixes. But over time more and more bugs haven’t been fixed or took forever to fix and stability didn’t improve much. Essential things like backups didn’t work well on some servers and the devs promised bugfixes for months and months. While very slowly some have been fixed, others are not working until this day.
After a while the complaints in the forum became too much, so they simply closed it!! For me this was a big alarm going off and over the course of this year it turned out that the support didn’t work at all anymore. Security related bugs haven’t been fixed for months, tickets have been simply closed without a resolution and lately they have even introduced changes to the core and/or the client plugin, that rendered premium addons useless and they expected you to buy them again in order to work again. I know these kind of things happen, but I simply can’t get rid of the feeling that they are desperately trying to keep you paying without a real progress and no real support. I have made the cut and moved on (there are similar solutions, that seem to be managed much more prefesionally).Edit Nov. 2014: I had to reduce my rating to just one star! We had worked with InfiniteWP for 1.5 years, spent a few hundred bucks and had many, many problems. For various reasons we decided to give their backup another go recently, but that went really bad. Their support is nonexistent meanhwile and all they do is feed you good will messages, but they actually haven’t solved any of our problems. We are running our own servers, so we have complete control over the performance, but still the whole solution never was 100% reliable. Now they stopped responding to our tickets (recent one is unsolved for 4 weeks now) at all. Beware, you are gonna loose money with this solution.
