Good idea for plugin, but could do with improvement

Firstly, the documentation could really do with some improvement. I’m a chemist myself, so I’d like to pitch in some ideas, and even some code I have. But the first thing that needs improving is the documentation. A few examples would be nice. I’m new to MathJax and I’m trying to get mhchem working so I can write chemical equations.
I have a few things I can pitch in if you’re interested. Like an electron configuration generator. A tool for converting between units would be handy too. I can think of tons of ideas that would make this a great plugin.
