Good membership plugin?

  • Hi, I am looking for a membership plugin, but I want it to work a little differently than expected. I am looking for:

    1) Ability to manually add users (they will pay off-line, and I will email them their logins)

    2) Logged-in user profiles would be viewable to other logged in users.

    The idea is that they pay me offline, I sign them up and build their profile, and then email them a log-in / pass. They log in and view the paid content, and they can view other user profiles.

    So, there would be no publicly available “Sign Up” form, I will register them myself. Also I won’t need to take payments through the site or plugin.

    I’ve researched a few, and none of them explicitly state that they can handle my two requests. Any feedback is welcome, thank you, Jon

    then you don’t need a membership plugin. you need a paypal account, a buy now button somewhere that your users can click to get membership and then you need a profile builder plugin.
