• But all the necessary functionality is not available in the free version. Why then this plugin on www.ads-software.com? Sell ??it on themeforest or somewhere else.

Why do you say it’s not free, the version here?

Denis, may I ask why you expect every single feature to be included for free? A lot of hard work, over many years, goes into my plugins and the free version wouldn’t exist at all without the pro version. It’s as simple as that.

Also, as you can see from the forums for ALL my free plugins I always answer every single message. And still you don’t think that I should ever dare to charge for any of my work.

Leaving a one-star review is a little bit over the top. It’s not a reflection of the quality or performance of the plugin whatsoever; which by the way has over 80,000 active users for the free version alone.

1 star because the plugin is only partially functional. I installed it, but did not get what I needed for the site map to work.

    Jan Dembowski,
How can you call a free plugin, in which half of the functionality is not available for free?

It is NOT partially functional. It is a fully functioning sitemap with plenty of options. You can most definitely display a sitemap with the free version of this plugin. The fact that this plugin has well over 80,000 active users more than backs that up.

Furthermore, a new update will include a sitemap block for the new Gutenberg editor so you’ll have a visual way of adding a sitemap without having to insert a shortcode. This new feature could easily have been just added to the pro version but it will be available in the free version too.

Developing, and maintaining a plugin, and answering support messages takes time. Multiply that by several plugins and it adds up to a serious amount of time over the years!

    Easily?

You’re mistaking what the free here means. It’s not cost, it is that the code in this plugin is free for you to change and use as you want. Author’s are permitted to have a “light” version here and upsell.

@dgwyer You really should make it clear what is included with this plugin and what is not. Looking at the plugin page I can’t see where the line is, if there even is one.

Jan, Are you talking about the free plugin readme page or the pro landing page?
