• I liked MetaSlider a lot, but unfortunately they integrated an external service, which goes faaaaaar beyond of just providing templates for the slider.

“Extendify” integrates so “deep” into WordPress, that customers think, this is a “core” functionality… → at least for me I can’t use MetaSlider any more on projects.

It would be okay, if there was a setting for disabling it, but using a mu-plugin is a no-go for the average user → Basically, they try to sell another product this way. Which happens to frequently in the WP ecosystem lately.

  • Hi @adrian2k7 – thanks for your feedback. While many users find value in the template library and having access to patterns that have the MetaSlider block included, we understand that the library isn’t going to be useful to everyone.

We tried to give a couple different options to disable it for those that wish, but it seems like we can do more to make this easier for our users. We’re looking into various option for this.

Thanks again for sharing your feedback and helping us improve. Let us know if there’s anything else we can do!
