Good Plugin. Irritating Developer

  • The plugin is great. But the developer is MOST IRRITATING.
    God alone knows why he has to push updates every alternate day – guess he has nothing better to do. And just updating isn’t enough, you have to click another update button.
    Plus the amount of nagging messages he has – messages which cannot be hidden.
    “Your AdRotate Banner folder is not writable or does not exist. Set up your banner folder.”
    Why can’t he stop NAGGING about this? Lots of people use only HTML codes from ad servers.

    Updates are usually done monthly. If you don’t like getting new features and bugfixes, then don’t update. Or better yet – don’t use my software.

    Errors are not nagging, errors are there to be fixed. If you fix the errors mentioned then the “nag” goes away. Duh…

    To fix this problematic issue with no further changes to your configuration, additional creation of folders, or anything you don’t want to do, remove this piece of code:

    if(!is_writable(ABSPATH.$adrotate_config['banner_folder'])) {

}
