I used to use Yoast SEO but the amount of adverts and the like on the backend, and prompts to install Jetpack where annoying.
So I went with All in one SEO. It’s more straightforward with separate sections and I find easier to manage meta tags.

The support is very responsive. They responded to my issue in just over an hour and I have the free version of the plugin. I nearly feel guilty to have good support like that for free.
