Google Ads no more possible with Complianz free version ?

    Hi,
    I use Complianz free version and I have Google Ads on my website.
    I received a email from Google saying that after 16 January 2024, my website will not be able to display ads if I haven’t a certified CMP.
    If I understand, I will have no other choice than to Enable TCF and Google CMP in Complianz settings, so buy the pro version?

    My question concerns the free version, I wonder if it will allow me to continue displaying Adsense advertisements, or if I absolutely have to upgrade to the paid version.

    Hi @nonobio,

    Google notes the following: “Later this year, we will require all partners using our publisher products — Google AdSense, Ad Manager, or AdMob — to use a Google certified CMP that integrates with the TCF when serving ads to users in the European Economic Area or the UK.”

    If this applies to your website, you would indeed have to use a Google Certified CMP that integrates with TCF (such as available in Complianz Premium) in order to remain eligible to serve advertisements using these platforms.

    Ok, my website is in France, so that’s it, in other words:

    Before the new Google requirement:
    It was possible to use Complianz free version to block Google AdSense advertisements before obtaining consent.

    After the new Google requirement::
    This will no longer be possible with the free version of Complianz.
