• Hi, I started https://www.ayakosroom.com through 1and1. On my right side bar, I’d like to add my Google Adsense code. I plan on using the small ad size since it’s a small space. However, I don’t know how to add that space on my sidebar. Please advise. Thanks!!

  • Log into https://www.ayakosroom.com/wp-admin and click on “Presentation”. After that, click on Sidebar Widgets. Drag a Text widget into the list, where ever you would like. Open the Text Widget, name it in accordance with Google’s Terms and paste the Ad code into the body of that box. Close, save and load your main page back up.

I tried and got the error message when I went to the Widgets. Error message said “You are seeing this message because the theme you are currently using isn’t widget-aware, meaning that it has no sidebars that you are able to change.” Do I need to learn HTML?

It looks like the sidebar in the theme you are using is called “sub_container1.” Do you have a file by that name that you can edit? If so, you can insert your google adsense code there.

I have tried to paste adsense into my website and blog and I can paste and save, but it is not saved and I can not download it….website is RickCaras.com….any help appreciated

    Try an Adsense plugin.
