Google albums to the wordpress site using Shashin

    Hi,
    I have been successfully using Shashin plugin to add new albums from Picasa/Google+.
    But now I can’t!!! I added new album in Google+ but it does not get added into the Shashin…I also tried to sync them all.
    Yes, I read all the steps and this was working before but not anymore.
    I also updated Shashin to the lastest version 3.2.6.

    Anybody facing the same problem?
    Any solutions?

    Please let me know exactly what you see after trying to add or sync an album – is there an error message?

    Just blank page after I add an album. One time I got Internal server error

    Hmmm… ok – did it work at any point after you upgraded to 3.2.6, or did adding/syncing albums immediately stop working after you upgraded? Please try deactivating and reactivating Shashin from your plugin admin page (the WordPress plugin upgrade process doesn’t actually do a deactivation and reactivation). If that doesn’t help, let me know, and we can dig deeper.

    First I tried to add the album with my existing version…3.2.5.
    When it didnt work, I updated it to 3.2.6. But still it didnt work. Will try deactivating and reactivating…

    I deactivated and activated. Still it doesn’t work. I also tried to add a new picture to the prev album which is listed in the admin. Even after sync this new picture doesn’t show up.
    So basically, it just stopped syncing up with any new changes in the Picasa web account I had pointed it to before.
    What to do…!!?
    Anyway I can debug and find the actual error!!!

    The problem is your installation of PHP is configured without DOM support. Shashin inspects the Picasa page for your album to find the link to its RSS feed, and it can’t do that without the PHP DOM library.

    If you’re comfortable with some coding, you can confirm this by checking your PHP configuration – you can call phpinfo() and look for “–disable-dom”.

    You’ll need to compile PHP with DOM support, or ask your hosting provider if they are willing to do it.

    I forgot to mention there is another solution: if you are also using Google+, you can get around this problem by giving Shashin the Google+ URL for the album, as Shashin uses a different technique to determine the album data feed URL for Google+
