Hi, I am using an Google Alert RSS feed for “feed to post” purposes. This feed does not contain the “author” that I would like to credit in the meta data of the post archive and single post. Is there a solution to enrich this Google Alert RSS feed with these missing author details so that I can credit the author. Feedzy is absolutely a great RSS aggregator but in my Jurisdiction (the Netherlands) crediting the source author is a must. Happy to hear of any type of solution or work around …. Thank you, best regards, Albert

  • Hi @astoetz!

    Thanks for choosing Feedzy!

Unfortunately this isn’t possible because Feedzy displays what is in the source and a Google alert RSS feed doesn’t contain an author, so Feedzy can’t show something that doesn’t exist in the source. You can create a different username on your website and assign it the name of the author, log in with that account and import the posts. This way, on your posts page, it will appear the name of the WordPress user that posted the article under the title. That username will be the name of the author because that was the user you used to create and run the Feedzy import job.

Please note that our advice refers strictly to the functionalities of the plugin, we are by no means able to give an opinion regarding the legal aspects of this topic.

    Have a nice day!
