GA 4 literally just came out. It has not been integrated into the plugin yet. Please be patient, it’s a feature that will be added as soon as possible. Thank you for your interest.

Also hope you will solve this soon ?? Thanks ??

I’m sorry if I’m impatient, but it’s now 3 weeks released.
Do you have an update when it will be available?

@andreasfurster no not yet. I am updating plugins for WP 5.6 currently. Will take a look and see what’s required. If/when it’s possible, it will be added. Thank you for your interest.

Just to follow up with this. After looking into setting up GA 4, it looks like the current version of the plugin can handle it no problem. From the plugin side of things, there is no difference between gtag.js and GA 4 tracking. So to implement GA 4 with the plugin, follow these steps:

    • Log into your GA account and set up GA 4
    • Add your site to the new GA 4 tracking
    • Copy the Measurement ID that Google provides
    • Open the GA plugin settings and paste the ID in “GA Tracking ID”
    • For the next option, “Tracking Method”, choose “Global Site Tag / gtag.js”
    • Save changes and done.

Yes, should be available before WP 5.6 is released.
