Google Analytics Click Tracking Question? Paypal Express

  • What exactly does enabling Google Analytics Click Tracking do in the Paypal Express settings under your plugin? I just want to make sure I know what to test if I enable it since we do use Analytics with our website.

    Searching through our Analytics, I don’t see any specific tracking for Paypal Express, where would this show up or is it not working?

    I checked under the various reports in Google Analytics, Event types, etc.

    You can see exactly how that was setup and where the info to integrate it came from here: https://github.com/angelleye/paypal-woocommerce/issues/1033

    You’ll notice it’s really nothing more than a button_click event trigger on the paypal-button-container element. That should show up in your Analytics with the reference URL so you could see where the clicks are coming from.
