After doing some troubleshooting and reconfig, my site now does not set any cookies prior to user’s consent choice. After this there are only Complianz cookies present. This is testing with an incognito window after deleting any cookies and reloading. Caching and autooptimize disabled.

I’m trying to use option 1 from this article: https://complianz.io/configuring-google-site-kit/

I have told Sitekit not to load GA or GA 4 snippets. I also had to disconnect Pagespeed Insights in Sitekit to get rid of all GA cookies on initial load and after a user choosing “Deny”.

    I have ticked:

Do you compile statistics of this website? Yes, with Google Analytics

    • I have accepted the Google data processing amendment
    • Google is not allowed to use this data for other Google services
    • IP addresses are anonymised or let Complianz do this for me.

Do you want to ask consent for statistics? No.

But even if I choose Accept now, there are no other cookies being set. I would expect GA and WordPress at least?

I can’t see any GA scripts in page source (there is still a tag manager script).

Google Analytics real-time stats now show no data (there was data previously before I stopped Sitekit inserting script.

It seems as though Complianz is not inserting the GA script? Have I misunderstood how this is meant to work. Thanks.

    Hi @stuartb3502,

The settings you shared seem mostly correct, could you additionally perform the below actions?

    • Navigate to Complianz > Integrations > Plugins and disable the slider next to Google Site Kit
    • Navigate back to Complianz > Wizard > Consent > Statistics – configuration and enter your GA Measurement ID at the “Enter your tracking ID” field.

Let me know if this does the trick, and I will adjust the article to clarify this.

    Kind regards,

    Jarno

That seems to have worked – thank-you. Difficult to understand (seems the opposite of what I’d expect). I’ve left Jetpack and WPForms integrations sliders enabled. Assume that’s OK? Thanks for the fast and helpful support. Have to say I’m very impressed by experience of Complianz so far. Will review once I’ve completed my setup.
