    You can use custom link/page template with [download_url] which gives your option to add attributes to the <a> tag. Pro version has a template editor. Using it you can create custom templates quickly. It is possible to create a custom template in the free version too. But in this case, you have to use template files. Keep your template files in /active-theme/download-manager/link-templates/ directory to create custom link templates.     Yes, using custom templates you can add additional attributes to the link tag. You can use the template editor to create custom templates. Please check out the link I sent in my previous reply for more info.
