• I’m trying to track a file download as a GA Event on a page of mine.

I went in and added the “onclick=”_gaq.push…” code to the links in the Text Editor, and when I switch to the Visual Editor, it strips the code out. I tried to publish the page without switching to the Visual Editor, and the code’s been stripped also.

I’ve tracked this download Event before using the exact same method, but it looks like it stopped working around March 6th. I try to keep detailed annotations on changes I’ve made on the site, and I didn’t make any changes around that time. Maybe a new WordPress or Plugin version broke this functionality?

I’m using the “Google Analytics for WordPress” plugin, which says that it can automatically track link and download Events, but I’ve tried disabling/enabling that feature and it hasn’t worked yet.

I appreciate any help here. Thanks.
