Google analytics – How to copy code to website

It’s easiest to use a plugin so if you change themes, you don’t have to edit the footer.php file again.

https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/googleanalytics/ takes me back the the same place that instructed me to copy and paste the code into my web pages. That is what I dont know how to do as I am not code savvy whichis strangely the reason why I opted for WP because thought that non tech people can work it.

The point of these analytics plugins is that they insert the tracking code for you. In the settings for whichever plugin you elect to use, you enter your UA code provided by Google and the rest is taken care of.

It doesn’t get any easier than that. Google Analytics is not part of WordPress. You have to either cut and past code or paste the UA code.
