  • I’m using Google Analyticator of Ronald Heft.
You can choose which user should not be track (i.e. Administrator, Author, …), you see a dashboard with the latest visits, …

    Hi Sandrol.

    Thanks very much.

Can I please ask you if this plugin allows you to interface with the Google Analytics /site/? I mean, I see you said that you see a dashboard with the latest visits but I am not sure if this is part of the google site or part of the plugin.

I am just starting out with this but I guess the plugin needs to install a “tracker” on all the pages of your site so that Analytics can then analyze the pages…and until then it doesn’t see them or doesn’t see them very well…?

    Hi Jon

Google Analyticator tracks all visits, when you set the UA-Code in the settings of the plugin. Then, Google should be able to track your website visitors.
The dashboard is part of the google analytics site. The plugin fetches the datas of google, so that you can see the traffic of the last month on your dashboard.

I hope, you unterstand the work of the plugin a little bit better now.

    kind regards, sandro

    hi sandrol,

yes. thanks. i will try this plugin today.

i guess right now i have a UA code for the site but it is not embedded in the site (even though Google is tracking it) and when i install the plugin i get a new UA code and I put this into Analytics instead of the old one…?

    THANKS

No, you should be able to take the old one, I think.
Just try it, if it works: great, else make a new one. But Google Analytics needs a few minutes (perhaps 15 minutes, I guess) until he is tracking the website.

    You’re welcome!
