• Recently Google Analytics was displaying a major reduction in traffic to the website. Initially I didn’t know what was causing it so I did a paid Facebook campaign to drive traffic to the website. Although the results in Facebook were showing a major increase in traffic, Google Analytics was still displaying little or no traffic. When I deactivated this plugin, Google Analytics began to display traffic as normal

  • Thank you for your feedback.
IMHO this is just a coincidence.

I am using this plugin on all my websites for years and never had sudden increase or decrease in traffic.

Anti-Spam plugin has nothing to do with generating traffic on websites.
It just adds some comment’s form modifications and adds some javascript code.

Perhaps it is just a coincidence but it is strange that the only thing I did was to deactivate the ant-spam plugin and Google Analytics went back to normal.

Maybe most of your traffic were spammers?
