Google Analytics User ID not showing

  • Hello,

    I followed one of the other guides provided by Thomas in a previous support topic bout user ID and have got the datalayer variable to populate with the correct information upon login using the Basic Data settings and GTM datalayer variable. However, my google analytics view with userId enabled is showing 0 views and when I go to the user explorer nothing shows up. Is there a guide on how to get this information from GTM into Google Analytics? Many thanks.

    I should also note that I am mainly using GA for most tracking things like pageview ETC. I am using google tag manager for file download events and I would like to use it for User ID as well.

    Hi James,

    After enabling the corresponding plugin option, how exactly did you configure your GA tags and variables to read the value from the data layer and send it in your GA hits?
