    Great plugin! Thank you.

I looked on the support forum for a solution to this and apologize if I missed it. I used the HTML meta tag method to verify ownership of my site for Google. The Google directions required placement of the meta tag in the <head> section of the home page. When I inserted the meta tag into just the home page <head> section (using header and footer plugin), the tag did not appear on my home page and Google ownership verification failed. When I inserted the tag into the <head> on all pages (using header and footer plugin), the tag appeared on the home page and ownership verification succeeded.

Any ideas on what I might have done wrong? I only want the HTML tag to appear in the <head> on my home page. Do I need to “tell” the plugin which page is my home page?

I am running Header and Footer plugin version 2.0.1.

Thank you for your support and thank you for a great plugin!

Have you a static home page? Maybe there is a bug and the plugin identifies the home only when it is a standard home page. I’ll check it.

You can safely leave the verification code in every page, there are no problems at all.

I uploaded the plugin and I got the following error:
The Header and Footer plugin might cause issues when used in conjunction with Yoast SEO.
Both Yoast SEO and Header and Footer create OpenGraph output, which might make Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other social networks use the wrong texts and images when your pages are being shared.

The suggested solution is to “Configure Yoast SEO’s OpenGraph Settings

I have absolutely no idea how to do this. Please help advise what to do as I love the speed with which this plugin lets me add a Header/footer code!

    Thank you so much!

Simple do not use the header and footer open graph features. Yoast should say that not to remove my plugin!!!
