Hi. We have a weird problem. We’ve added your plugin to a number of sites on our server. If they have billing or something similar enabled, it goes thru very easily.

But, we just hit a big hitch – this error:

    Google API key requiredClose

This plugin uses our default Google Places API key which is mandatory for retrieving Google reviews through official way approved by Google (without crawling). Our API key can make 5 requests to Google API for each WordPress server and it’s exceeded at the moment.

To continue working with Google API and daily reviews refreshing, please create your own API key by this instruction and save it on the settings page of the plugin.

Don’t worry, it will be free because Google is currently giving free credit a month and it should be enough to use the plugin for connecting several Google places and daily refresh of reviews.

    —-

Does this mean we now have to do this for each and every other website we do this on, goin ginto their Google Account and Project, which is nothing like as simple as it sounds, if we don’t have a login to their site. And if we do, they have to be near their device when we go through the process. It is not a 5 min job, sorry.

We are trying to use the Widget, to add multiples to one site. We’ve done 2 on theirs. They have a few more. On the 3rd this happened.

    Hi @simon_a6,

This plugin can connect and show up to 10 Google place instantly without API key, but it’s limited only for 5 requests to Google which is allow to connect one or two Google locations.

It seems you already excceded this 5 requests and your IP address (WordPress IP server address) was saved and limited. By this reason you see this message.

In this case you need to create your own API key and save in the Settings. It will allow to connected unlimited Google locations, but please keep in mind that Google can charge if you connect many places, more than 5-7.

Unfortunately, we are forced to limit the plugin in this way for initial connection, since many users of this plugin very often try to connect many Google places, which entails extremely huge charges.

    Thanks!

Sorry it doesn’t make sense to me.
We have multiple sites on our server, all are connected just fine.
But we have one that has mulitple locations within the one site – THAT is the one with the problem

We connected two locations, but the third is the one tht flags the issue.

So while we have used our server IP for many sites, each site has it’s own Places API account.
So do we now need a Place API for every single additional site for some weird reason? I don’t really get it.

Where do we get the debug info?

It’s placed on the page in wp-admin: Google?Reviews / Support / Advance tab. You need to click the ‘Copy Debug Information‘ button, paste copied to this reply and send?it to us.

    Thanks!

Any way to submit that without the world seeing our Debug information?

I went to the Google Places API, and it is very deep and confusing, simply to add a few more from different addresses on their account.

Why do they make it SO confusing?
