I have created a google maps API key

When I try to enter it into the google tab on

    /wp-admin/admin.php?page=trustreviews-settings&trustreviews_tab=google

    The plugin says

“Settings saved successfully.” but the box blanks instantly and when I then try to link to google it obviously doesn’t work.

I’ve tried clicking the “intall from scratch” option under advanced.

I’ve tried deactivating and reactivating the plug

I’ve tried removing and and reinstalling the plugin

    I’m on WordPress 6.4.3

    Thanks

  • I’ve got the same problem on my website.

I’ve found it does seem to save the API key despite a message saying it hasn’t saved “Your Google API key is not set for this reason, reviews are not automatically updated daily. Please create your own Google API key and save here”

I found that by creating a new widget in the plugin settings and reconnecting to Google there it did actually download new reviews so it is connected but not saying that it is at the API entry page.

The new review is showing in the widgets section in the plugin settings but not showing when I add the widget to the homepage widget section though… Creating a new Widget for Google reviews in the Plugin settings grabbed the latest reviews. I will need a new review to be posted to see if new reviews are added automatically without having to recreate.

It’s fixed in the latest version 2.1

    Thanks!
