    Hello,

My website gets visits from the Google Mobile AdWords bot every day at the same time. This visit causes an 503 error and my website goes down for some minutes every time this happens.

I am searching what is causing this problem, and thinking that maybe it is caused by the WordFence firewall?

    My Rate Limiting Rules settings:

Immediately block fake Google crawlers – disabled
How should we treat Google’s crawlers – enabled Verified Google crawlers have unlimited access to this site

Maybe I have to choose: Anyone claiming to be Google has unlimited access?

Anyone who countered the same problem?

    Thank you!

    Alwin

  • Hi Alwin,
There is a way to narrow down this issue, which is whitelisting this bot IP -temporarily- so that any request coming from this bot will make it through your website, you can get this bot IP from “Live Traffic” log, or from your server access log, then add it to “Whitelisted IP addresses that bypass all rules” option.

Let me know how it goes,
    Thanks.
