• Hello everybody,

I’ve been having terrible problems with 2 of my websites which has caused all rankings to disappear. For almost 3 months now i have been working on them hoping my rankings would come back.

However, today i took a look at my sites to see if they were still indexed by using…
“site:https://naturalremedies-for.com/” and noticed that Google is not caching my website properly. Well i hope this is the case as it means i may be able to fix the problem.

For months now i have been feeling dejected thinking that i am not cut out for internet marketing because my sites just can’t get ranked, but now i am hoping that this was the problem all along.

Would it be too much to ask for someone to take a look at how Google is caching my websites by using the “site:https://naturalremedies-for.com/” feature. I would greatly appreciate any help as I’m at a loss at what to do.

Thank you for taking the time to read this thread.

    Declan.

  • Have you consulted the Google webmaster tool – https://www.google.com/intl/en/webmasters/
I don’t think that this is a WordPress issue. Your site seems to be fine, but the market you are in in highly competitive.

    Hello Christine,

I have checked webmaster tools and although i had a few crawl errors a couple of months back, they are gone now.

I do think this is a wordpress issue. I know the niche I’m in is competitive but i had already a couple of keywords on the #1 spot in Google. For some reason my categories are showing up ahead of my posts when i view my site when using “site:https://naturalremedies-for.com/”

I have another 2 sites that this doesn’t happen on and they are ranking fine, even though they have less links and haven’t been updated in a while. The two sites that have been affected both had issues with permalink structure due to a faulty plugin and since i resolved these issues they haven’t recovered.

Both these sites show categories ahead of posts, both had issues with permalinks and both have rankings that plummeted. This was 3 months ago and still no recovery.

If my categories are showing up before my main posts even though my posts have a lot of links to them, does this mean that my “posts” have no value now in the eyes of Google? Even though they were doing very well in the serps for a while.

I know it seems like a simple change in the search rankings but both sites have good links to them and all unique content. It’s too much of a coincidence that both of these sites were hit the same and have had issues in the past.

I cannot even change a theme on these two sites without duplicate page titles showing up.

Thanks for your reply Christine. I may need to pay someone to have a look at them. There has to be a coding error or something.
