Google Calendar Widget & private calendar (not public)
-
Here is a new thread about ongoing investigation on making the widget work with private calendars.
The 1.4.0 widget works fine with calendar API v.3, but only for public calendars.
I believe there might be a solution using OAuth 2.0
https://developers.google.com/api-client-library/javascript/features/authenticationI found this tutorial about getting data with calendar API v.3 and not public calendars : https://cornempire.net/2011/12/31/part-1-setting-up-google-calendar/
This tutorial manage to let access to your calendar using self-generated tokens so external users don’t have to authorize access to their own calendar as credentials are already set with your own (i do see in my google account permissions the app i created has access to my google calendar). This is supposed to be totally transparent for external users. They can just see your private calendar.
This is as far as i can go.
Maybe someone will find a way to add this feature to the widget so that we can use it again with private (non public) calendars ?https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/google-calendar-widget/
